I Want to Astral Project

Astral projection is an interpretation of any form of OBE (Out of Body Experience). The assumption is that an astral body exists and separates from the physical body. The astral body can travel freely without the limitations of the physical body. The idea of astral travel comes from common religious accounts of an afterlife. But it is possible to leave the physical body without dying. It is believed that with intense meditation that a person's spirit body can travel into 'higher realms'.

A commonly held belief is that the astral body is attached to the physical body by a silver cord. The last chapter of the Biblical Book of Ecclesiastes is often cited. "before the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be shattered at the fountain, or the wheel be broken at the cistern"

The expression astral projection was coined in two ways. Some say the meaning is the journeying to other worlds, heavens, hells, and other imaginal landscapes. Others say that they are travelling within the physical world. Usually those who experience the astral plane describe themselves as being in a place which is totally unlike the any physical place.

Environments may be artificial, natural, populated, or unpopulated. Most belief that one can access a library of mystical knowledge called the Akashic records. Many correlate the astral plane with the world of dreams. These people report seeing dreamers act out dream scenarios on the astral plane, unaware of what is around them. Some also say that dreams in which one is "falling" occurs during projection.
